Has tarnish and patina, only the two screws visible on the back in whole ... more assembly are magnetic. The latch piece coming through the plat is bent, not sure if it is cut short too. The backer plate measures about 6 1/8 inches from tip to tip. The backer plate is about 1 3/4 inches wide(tapering very slightly so it is a hair wider on the bottom/key hole end) and the width of the latch handle-looks like a door knocker- is 2 1/4 inches. This Old Backplate includes the screws. But does not have the handle or the nuts. The Open Ornate Design of this Plate allows the wood of the Chest or Dresser to be accented. This item is in previously used condition. And shows wear from age and use. It measures approximately 5 1/4" long by about 1 7/8" across the middle. The screws are 3" apart on center. This Back Plate weighs about 1.6 ounces. Great for restoration. A collection or even for repurposing. Please see photos for details and email me if questions.
